I don’t know. But I suspect that labor law favors the laborers and not management, and if I understand correctly, once firms grow beyond 15-100 employees, then they need to jump through all kinds of hoops to fire underperformers.
That’s no way to run a manufacturing oriented economy.

The growth in exports and tax receipts are probably good indicators of India's growth in recent years. I wonder if the exports will grow enough to offset the merchandise trade deficit that has been a drag for India as long as I can remember.
